Incredible Record-Breaking Pole Vault in Glendive
Check out the dog pile as friends of Garrison Hughes piled on to the mat. This, following a record-setting vault in Glendive, Montana at the Eastern A Divisional Track Meet over the weekend. Sidney's Garrison Hughes pulled off an incredible feat, as seen in this must-see video captured by Glendive Broadcasting.
Glendive Broadcasting added this note in the comments section of their Facebook post:
State records can only be set at the state meets. However, Garrison's 17.0 vault is a record by any pole vaulter in our state. No other high school pole vaulter has cleared the 17.0 height. Saturday’s 17-foot clearance would tie him for ninth in the nation, pending results from around the country.
