If you need something to get excited about, here you go. Girl Scout cookie season is quickly approaching and will be here before you know it.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program kicks off Friday, February 4 in Montana and Wyoming. If you or a co-worker with a child in Girl Scouts, don't be surprised if you are asked to buy some cookies in the near future. Girl Scouts will be taking pre-orders until February 20, and cookies are expected to be delivered sometime in late March. You can also purchase your cookies online through April 17.

Cookie Booth sales are scheduled for March 25 - April 17, so you will be able to stock up at a local grocery store.

Girls Scouts will be selling traditional favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, as well as newer flavors such as Lemon-Ups, Girl Scout S'mores. There's also Toffee-tastics, a gluten-free cookie.

The Girl Scouts are excited to introduce a brand new cookie this year. Adventurefuls is a brownie-inspired cookie with a caramel-flavoured cream and a hint of salt.

Girls Scouts will be selling cookies for $4/box with the exception of speciality cookies. Girl Scout S'mores and Toffee-tastics are $5/box.

All of the revenue from cookie sales stays with the local troops and council in Montana. The Girl Scouts get to decide how to spend their troop cookie earnings and reinvest it in their neighborhoods through service projects and learning experiences, including Girl Scout Camp and travel.

Girl Scouts that sell 1,000 or more boxes of cookies earn a free trip to summer camp at one of the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming Summer Camps.

By selling cookies, Girl Scouts develop five essential skills - goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. All of which help them succeed today and in the future.

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
