(They don't hold a market on the 4th of July, FYI.) Held at Depot Park. Local growers, farmers, craftspeople, prepared food, and live music. This is a Zero Waste Market. All food containers are compostable or recyclable.
MISSOULA FARMERS' MARKET (North Higgins Ave on Circle Square between Railroad and Alder Sts, Missoula, Montana): This special market has been around since 1972. It happens on Saturdays, May through October, from 8am to 12:30pm. Lots of food and farmer vendors, canned vegetables, jellies, jams, and sauces, dried teas, honey, handcrafted face and body care products.
"In the spring you will find veggie starts and greens, summertime brings tomatoes, huckleberries, cherries, peaches, melons and corn, and fall's bounty includes squash & pumpkins, apples and garlic. BOZEMAN FARMERS' MARKET (Lindley Park, Bozeman): Held on Tuesday evenings, 5pm to 8pm, mid June through mid September. Their motto is "Life's A Garden, Dig It!" and yes, you can buy their merch. All the great stuff you'd expect from a top notch outdoor farmers' market, with world class Gallatin Valley growers, food vendors, and live music. Lindley Park is very easy to find - on Main Street, just a block east of downtown Bozeman. It's a large public park with lots of grassy, shaded area to spread out and enjoy the evening. FRENCHTOWN FARMERS' MARKET (Old Bull Brewing parking lot - 16862 Beckwith Street, Frenchtown, MT) 1st & 3rd Thursdays 5pm to 7:30pm, June through September. Very family friendly event, and food vendors will be parked in the market every Thursday serving food for purchase. Vendors have produce, bread products, locally raised meat, and crafts. Frenchtown is located just northwest of Missoula.
MISSION FALLS FARMERS' MARKET (Good Ol' Days Park, Saint Ignatius, Montana) Held in the pavilion in the park on Fridays from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Never been? "The small town of St. Ignatius on the Flathead Indian Reservation offers beautiful views of the Mission Valley." Saint Ignatius is located on Highway 93, directly south of Flathead Lake. GALLATIN VALLEY FARMERS' MARKET (Gallatin County Fairgrounds, Bozeman, Montana) Held every Saturday morning starting in mid-June from 9am to Noon. A very well established markets was started in 1971. The best regional growers all show up to this market, along with specialty items such as handmade donuts and pierogis. Cool merchandise is available to support the market.
