
Have Gun, Will Travel – Concealed Weapons On The Rise
A growing number of people in Gallatin County and statewide are seeking concealed weapons permits. In the last five years, applications in the county have increased 65 percent increase. And across the state, the increase is even sharper; From 2008 to the beginning of this month, the number of concealed weapons permits issued has more than doubled.
Applicants for a concealed weapons permit must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a Montana resident for at least six months.
