Since Friday night the Sheriff’s Office has responded to over 250 calls, of those 90 were related to the winter storm.  Throughout the County Deputies responded to vehicle crashes, abandoned, stuck vehicles, requests for welfare checks and rescued injured snowmobilers. Deputies even purchased snow shovels to assist the public with shoveling out vehicles that were stuck. (the shovels they carry were a little small to shovel that much snow.)

Sheriff Gootkin states “All in all this community came through the weekend in pretty good shape.  Deputies and the County Road Department really put in the extra effort to keep roads open and keep people safe.  No major injuries or events says to me that this place still knows how to be Montanans and manage a little snow and cold.”
