Baseball is on the rise here in Montana. For the first time in over fifty years, high schools across the state play baseball, and people love it. Montana also has independent baseball teams in Missoula, Great Falls, Kalispell, and Billings that play in front of locals all summer.

Many folks love ball games to have adult beverages, hang out, and watch top athletes compete. Baseball games are fun for kids who aspire to become professional ball games. You can see in their faces the pure joy they have when they get an autograph or catch a foul ball. It's a whole experience.

If you or your family want to attend Major League Baseball games, Montana is considered a fair distance away from these teams. The closest MLB teams are the Seattle Mariners or the Colorado Rockies, but they are a full-day drive or flight away.

ESPN reports that Salt Lake City, with the help of the former owners of the Utah Jazz, wants to add an MLB team to the area. Salt Lake City has a minor league baseball team, the Salt Lake Bees, who draw fantastic attendance.

Salt Lake City is less than a six-hour drive from Bozeman, and if they ended up getting an MLB team, you could see superstars like Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and others in person.

As a person who grew up going to Seattle Mariner games, seeing live MLB games inspired me to try and be a professional baseball player. My career ended in college, but I still love the game of baseball and going to live games. Nothing beats the atmosphere.

If Salt Lake City gets an MLB team, I think it would only help encourage the young baseball players in Montana to work hard and maybe one day make it to the show.
