Dog Shot by Bozeman Police Officer Near Peet’s Hill
This morning, two Bozeman Police Officers were responding to a report of a transient man camping near Peet's Hill when one of the man's two dogs charged the officers.
The officer shot the dog twice from less than 2 feet away and the dog was taken to a veterinarian to be evaluated according to Bozeman Police Captain Dave McMani. Because a firearm was used, the police department will conduct an internal investigation of the incident.
