Did a Meteor Just Fall Out of the Clear Blue Sky?
Look in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a...meteor?
That may have just been the case for the people of Nonthaburi, Thailand.
This dash cam video captured a fireball falling down to the ground, begging the question: what exactly was it?
Voravit Tanvuttibundit, who serves as an adviser to the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand said, "It was a meteor for sure, I am confident, because it was fast and very bright."
While the debate rages on, one expert says it's highly likely the object came from space.
Saran Poshyachinda, Deputy Director of National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand, told CNN, "It looks like an asteroid traveling to Earth and grazing through the air and it turned into a fireball."
