Daines Pushes The New STOP School Violence Act
Senator Steve Daines has announced his new proposal, the Students, Teachers and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Act. This legislation he introduced secures our schools by implementing proven, evidence-based programs and technologies that will stop school violence before it happens.
“Moms and Dads want to know when they drop off their kids at school, they are safe,” said Daines. “We must secure our schools by stopping violence before it happens.”
The Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing School Violence Act of 2018, or the STOP School Violence Act, amends the 2001-2009 bipartisan Secure Our Schools Act to offer Department of Justice grants to states. The evidence-based programs and technologies that STOP school violence before it happens.
Senator Daines will be on "Dominick In The Morning" next Wednesday March 14.
