On February 6, former Montana State Senator Corey Stapleton announced that he would be running for the U.S. Senate. The announcement came through twitter, and YouTube, as well as a newly designed web site.

Stapleton is no stranger to Montana politics. Most recently, he was runner-up in the Republican gubernatorial primary race. Stapleton took 18% of the vote compared to Rick Hills 35% in what was one of the most crowded primary races for governor in Montana state history.

On his website, Stapleton lists, agriculture, education, the national debt, jobs for Montana, military, and the 2nd Ammendment, as his main priorities.
