City of Bozeman Issues Robo-Call Scam Warning

According to City of Bozeman officials, there is a robo-call scam hitting the Bozeman area.

The recorded message tells people that they owe the city money, but Bozeman police say that this is a scam.

The Bozeman Police Department has this to say about the situation:

The City of Bozeman does not send calls asking for money. If you get this call, just hang up the phone.

In addition, several Gallatin Valley residents this week have posted on social media that another round of scam calls involving a social security hoax is going around. The caller tells people that their social security number has been blocked due to suspicious activity.

Do not provide your social security number to the caller and do not give them money.
