Belgrade Police Seek Witnesses to Morning Shooting Incident

Belgrade police are looking for witnesses to a shooting incident that happened early Wednesday morning at an East Main Street casino.

At about 12:16 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, police were called to the Rhino Casino at 412 E. Main Street for a disturbance, according to a press release. Reports revealed that shots had been fired at a vehicle, which then left the paved surface of the parking lot and crashed into an irrigation canal.

No one was injured, but the driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence.

Another person fled the scene and was later found by law enforcement.

The police department reports that there is no danger to the public at this time. Detectives are investigating the incident and seeking witnesses.
