Authorities ID Man Killed By Train Near Manhattan

Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin has identified the man killed this morning as 46-year-old William Terry of Belgrade.

The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating an incident that left one person dead, Thursday morning, after a train collided with a vehicle.
The accident occurred between Manhattan and Belgrade at the intersection of Heeb Road and Frontage Road.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jeff Sargent, a Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup was traveling southbound on Heeb Road when it was hit by a eastbound train while crossing the tracks.
Trooper Sargent confirmed that the driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
