Blue Slipper Theater in Livingston is presenting a wild comedy based on Sherlock Holmes. Baskerville  looks at the classic The Hounds of Baskerville and makes it a murderously funny adventure.

Tony-winning (that's like an Oscar for theater) playwright Ken Ludwig wrote the comedy, which has gotten great reviews nationwide:

“The joy in watching [the] witty new play Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery is not in solving the crime but in the plethora of wildly imaginative characters you meet along the way. By dispensing with British formality, Ken Ludwig has given us a play that is ingeniously funny and will keep you guessing until the curtain call.” – Broadway World,

“Baskerville is a madcap sendup of what you might hold dear about that Doyle classic, done up in the style of The 39 Steps.” – DC Theatre Scene

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors. Call the Blue Slipper Theater at 222-7720 or purchase a ticket online

Local Montana actor Joseph Weisgerber, who stars in the play, stopped by Dominick in the Morning today and performed a little Sherlock Holmes on the radio show. He is a talented, funny guy, and I am looking forward to heading to Livingston to catch the show at the Blue Slipper.

The play will run weekends, Aug. 25 through Sept. 10.
