I'm going to be upfront with you, I have a serious case of spring fever.

Let me back up just a bit, you see, I'm a four-season guy however with Mother Nature delivering a couple of days last week with temperatures hitting almost 60 degrees, it really got me thinking about March 20th (the official first day of spring for 2022).

So without further ado, here are 5 Great Things To Do In Bozeman This Spring:

Outdoor/Patio Dining. Bozeman has a ton of great restaurants and several of those over outdoor or patio dining. I mean, what's better than having a wonderful meal or a fantastic drink with your partner or a group of friends outside enjoying each other's company and the spring weather in downtown Bozeman? Plus, as an added bonus we even have some rooftop dining options.

Hiking/Camping.  We are certainly blessed here in Montana with hundreds of different trails to hike and areas to camp. Exploring the beauty of our area is certainly something we can do in all seasons here in Bozeman, however, there is something special about going out for that first camp each spring. The warm afternoons, mixed with the chilly nights can make for great sleep, plus sitting around a campfire with friends and family is an absolute memory maker.

Softball Season.  Who doesn't love Softball?  Even if you don't play, or you do and you just don't play well, hanging out at the softball fields is a good time. It's a great way to let loose, get some exercise, have some fun and maybe have a cold one or two when the game wraps up.

Fishing. Back when I was in High School, I had fishing poles in the back of my beat-up old Dodge truck in the spring and as soon as the final bell would ring, my buddies and I were heading to the creek. Bozeman and the surrounding areas have world-class rivers, streams, and lakes. Let's be honest, there are very few things in life that compare with the joy of a fishing pole and a great day outdoors.

Finally, Bar-B-Q's. Now we're talking my language.  A little over a year ago, I made what might be the best purchase of my life when I bought a pellet grill.  It completely changed my social life.  The smell of bar-b-q might be the best smell in the world, and when you add a bunch of friends and all of the sides, well my mouth is watering as I write this.  Plus, having a big bar-b-q (or even a small one) is the perfect way to kick off the spring season.

So even though we're a couple of weeks away from the "Official Start", I for one am counting down the days.

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
