3 Things No Renter Should Ever Deal With In Montana, Or Anywhere

There are very few things that actually get under my skin, but over the past month or so, I have come to realize that these three things really grind my gears.

Like most of the other renters here in Bozeman, our rent is not ideally priced. With that being said, there are some things that I feel should come with the high cost of living.

3 things I should NEVER have to worry about when renting.

1. Where to park. I should never have to look for a spot to park. This makes me so incredibly irritated. It can't be that hard to figure out how many parking spots an apartment building should have. Take each bedroom, multiply it by 2 and that is the minimum amount of spots there should be. It should leave some extra spots if anything.

2. Salting/Shoveling. If the struggle is finding a company to come and do this for you, here is an easy solution: get an on-site manager. It's simple, really. Deduct a few bucks off of one of the tenants' rent and they are the eyes of the complex. They will make sure there isn't any garbage blowing around, the sidewalk is shoveled, and the stairs are salted.

3. Aggressive dogs. If you are a pet owner, the last thing you should have to deal with is walking past that ONE dog that growls, barks, and nips at you, your child, or your own fur baby. Maybe we should have dog interviews prior to allowing dogs in apartments.

You may agree or disagree with my top three things I should never have to deal with as a renter, but all three of these things can easily be avoided or resolved—and quite frankly, should be, considering how much rent is these days.
