Eric Loberg, director of the Taylor Planetarium at the Museum of the Rockies visited with great excitement Wednesday... At the time of this conversation, we were two hours away from from today's history making event: Human beings LANDED something We built on a Comet!

On Philae's Mission:

On What We Hope To Find - LIFE:

The Rosetta mission to a comet known as "67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko" began a decade ago. The Science, Mathematics, Technology and Engineering involved to bring us to this point in Time are simply STAGGERING, it boggles the mind.

The potential payoff for such work? A better understanding of how Life came to Earth... No biggie... Many scientists believe comets that smashed into a rather young Earth, brought with them the basic building blocks of life. So We may have, indirectly, come from comets.

Today, we landed on one.
