A four-year-old boy named "Conner" was found early Wednesday morning, December 17, leading Missoula Police to appeal to use Facebook to help find Connor's parents.

"At about 8:00 a.m., 911 received a call from a business located in the 3700 block of American Way saying that they had located a small boy," said Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh. "He seemed to be alone, and they didn't know where he belonged or why he was there."

The Missoula Police posted on Facebook that they had found a boy calling himself Conner and described as "Caucasian with short red hair & freckles. He is fair skinned and wearing green pants, and a grey hooded coat. If you know this boy, or his parents please call the Missoula Police Department, or the local office of the Department of Child & Family Services."

Welsh said that Conner's mother was found shortly after 10:00 a.m., not long after police sent out the post.

It is still unclear how far Conner's home is from the location he was found or why he ended up their. Welsh said Conner's mother was speaking with Child Protective Services at the time this story was written.
