New report: Tester’s Border Patrol Pay Reform Bill Will Save $100 Million Per Year

 

A new, independent report underscores the need to pass Senator Jon Tester’s border patrol pay reform bill.

Tester’s bipartisan bill provides border patrol agents with more reliable pay and work schedules and enhances border security.  According to the independent Congressional Budget Office, if the bill is enacted it will save taxpayers as much as $100 million each year.

U.S. Forest Service Will Award $14 Million for Working Forests With Nearly $600,000 For Montana

 

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack recently announced that the U.S. Forest Service will award more than $14 million in funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to seven Forest Legacy Program projects aimed at protecting over 28,000 acres of working forests.
