Tips have begun to come into the Bozeman Police Department, but authorities are still searching for a male suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a female near Peets Hill early Saturday morning.

According to a Bozeman Police Department release, early Saturday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to the area of South Church Street and East Story Avenue after a reported sexual assault incident had occurred.

The victim indicated that a male suspect physically restrained her while she was walking on Church Avenue. The suspect reportedly touched the victim in a "physical manner" before the victim was able to force the male away. The suspect was last seen running northeast through the Peets Hill parking lot.

Officers initiated a comprehensive search of the area, however, the suspect at this point has not been located.

The male suspect is described as being approximately 30 years-old, white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with red or brown hair and possibly a beard.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Bozeman Police Department, Detective Division.
