Bozeman Girl Scouts Receive Part of $8,060 Grant

The Women’s Foundation of Montana gave the grant that will pay for 40 Montana girls to participate in the First Lego League Robotics competitions. The girls will be in four teams, one from Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Great Falls. Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming teams have participated in the competitions for two consecutive years.

In a related story, Michelle Obama is helping the Girl Scouts of the USA to launch an unorthodox recruitment campaign this week aimed at reversing the decline in participation by girls and adult volunteers. In the video above, The first lady lauds the contributions of the Girl Scouts and urges adults to find the time to help out.
