It's been a windy few days on and around Fort Peck Lake, and the Wind Advisory has been extended through Friday. Winds on the lake are not expected to be quite as strong as they were Thursday, but still strong enough to make small craft boating dangerous.
It's another windy day around Fort Peck Lake, and it's creating dangerous conditions for small water craft. Gusts up to 45 mph will whip through the area until Thursday evening.
It's been a couple of VERY windy days on Fort Peck Lake and the surrounding area. A Lake Wind Advisory continues all day Wednesday, with wind gusts of up to 40 mph - too dangerous for small craft boating on the lake.
"We are currently at 14 inches in the bay and between 10-13 inches on the main lake. Pressure ridges are still posing a problem with travel across the main lake. Hopefully those will heal up shortly and allow good access all over."
