The Trust for Public Lands and the City of Bozeman are hosting an Open House tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, 2014, to gather community input on the design and programming for Story Mill Park. The event is being held in the Emerson Ballroom, at 111 South Grand Avenue, from 5-8pm.

Participants will be able to move from one information station to another at their own pace. Feedback will be gathered through a written survey that participants will be asked to fill out before leaving.

If you’re unable to attend, the City is pleased to offer a digital format for participation. Information about Story Mill Park and the survey can be found on the City’s website, here.

The creation of Story Mill Park is a fantastic opportunity to interpret and celebrate our community’s agricultural heritage and related cultural resources. The park property is adjacent to the Story Mill Railroad Spur and bridge over Rocky Creek, a Milwaukee Road bridge, the Vollmer Slaughterhouse Complex and is of course in the shadow of Story Mill itself, all of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
