Republicans Pitch Education Funding Rewrite

This piece of legislation looks to me like a mini Obamacare Bill, with over 50 pages to the bill, and Legislators can’t even understand it.A complicated rewrite of the state’s school funding scheme from Republicans faces an uncertain future after a close Senate vote. The measure attempts to fix a complicated school funding system that few understand with a 51-page bill that even fewer can fully explain. It has stiff opposition from Democrats and even a fair amount of skepticism from Republicans in the House. The measure was barely endorsed 25-24 in a key Senate vote on Tuesday. One Democrat was absent for the day, setting up the possibility the measure could stall in a subsequent vote scheduled for Wednesday.
