Montana State University is among the world’s top 1,000 universities, according to the Center for World University Rankings’ annual report.

The Center for World University Rankings publishes the only global university ranking that measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research.

“At the heart of our success is our talented faculty and staff who work so hard to help our students,” said MSU President Waded Cruzado. “It’s gratifying to see their efforts recognized by this ranking.”

MSU ranked 556th in the world rankings, the highest of any university in Montana. It also ranked 170th out of 936 American universities, which was again the highest of any Montana university.
