Lucius Robbi, a University of Montana student missing for over a week, was found deceased Thursday evening.

We spoke with the Boise County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho, shortly after 7 p.m. They wouldn’t give us many details beyond the fact that he was found.

Family friend Holly Hayes posted on the Finding Lucius Facebook group, “This evening he was found. He passed in a fatal car accident and my heart goes out to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and to all those who have been touched by him.”

Robbi was working in Idaho for the summer. He was traveling to Missoula to attend UM this fall. Friends, family, search agencies and volunteers scoured hundreds of miles along his route in an extensive attempt to find him.

News of the search went viral as friends and family members coordinated search efforts over social media.

No other details are available at this time.
