"We have spent a decade planning a Justice center and considering options. I hope we don't discard that work just to show how disappointed we are on a different subject" - Mayor Jeff Krauss (11/01/14 - via email)

Other than the election of our public officials for the next few years, the issue of a new Justice center is the most important choice you will make (or have made) on your ballot. This conversation regarding a Justice Center has simmered in Bozeman for the past decade, plus or minus a year or two.

City Manager Chris Kukulski confirmed the initial 'space study' began in 1998 and City Commission began serious consideration of a new Justice center in 2006.

The conversation SHOULD end by Tuesday evening - And will with your VOTE.

The Mayor is correct: having been involved in conversations with Mayor Krauss, Manager Kukulski, Police Chief Price and Judge Seel I can only conclude, NOW is the time to act.

In my conversations, both on-air and off, with you the 1450 listener: You have expressed a concern regarding the requested funds for the Justice center and have tied it to the acquisition of the Lenco BearCat. Many in the community still question the entire management of this secondary issue; which was resolved by a 4-1 vote to keep the BearCat, it should not play a part in your vote Tuesday on the Justice center.

Thoughtfully Considered & Respectfully Submitted,
