Live Events Manager-Regional Montana area
Townsquare Live Events, LLC
Job Expectations
- Primary point of contact at the market level for each event in your coverage area
- Build relationships of trust and mutual respect within each market staff , including key stakeholders: General Manager, Business Manager, Operations Manager, Brand Managers, key salespeople, digital team
- Establish a line of communication with the corporate team in Live Events for the purposes of event development, operation, reporting, and accountability
- Coordinator for the largest country music festival in Montana, to include:
- Assistance with talent identification and acquisition
- Identifying sales opportunities and creating the sales packages to support the event
- Creation of a festival marketing and promotion strategy that encompasses local and national assets
- Management of the budget process and responsibility for hitting targeted revenue and cash flow numbers
- Supervision of on-site logistics, including production, camping, concessions, crowd control, ticket and entry process, venue, and vendor management
- Deep familiarity with your coverage area, including:
- Our products: radio stations, websites, Seize the Deal, Townsquare Interactive, Townsquare Deals. How can we use each product as an asset to enhance or help sell an event? What is the demographic of your listeners and buyers to support the events that are created?
- Venues: arenas, fairgrounds, hotels, nightclubs, outdoor festival areas, including key points of contact, rental agreements, operations, and calendars
- Key promoters within the communities, knowing how we can work with them to support our events
- Key community events and competitive schedule
- In-house logistics for each event
- Create sales packages for events to help sales staff with sponsorship opportunities
- Venue negotiation, including ticketing, concessions, content, etc…
- Key point of contact and leadership for all event logistics leading up to and through the event, including employing staff as support
- Review each event after its completion, to include a wrap-up report to identify successes, issues, and plans for future improvement and growth
- Main source of information to the staff to implement and promote the event
- Manage upwards – each market has a point of contact from corporate – call in support from your contact as necessary – don’t be afraid to raise your hand!
- Responsible for meeting/managing event by event targets for revenue and BCF – be aware and in the loop on schedule changes and event design tweaks – communicate up and down
- Develop and implement marketing plans for your events – lead by example, plans must be written down and executed
- Each major event should have a marketing plan
- Interface with market digital team, as well as external support, such as marketing partners
- Lead annual budget process for market events
- Work with key staff members to develop a schedule and projections
- Review and determine new/additional opportunities within the market, and eliminate underperforming events
- Work with corporate contact for events settlement and payments, interface with Business Manager for accounting structures and responsibilities
- New business development
- Identify opportunities for new events in your market
- Develop new event ideas to help grow the market business

Assistant IT, engineering experience preferred (part-time)
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS: Townsquare Media is looking for a (part time) highly motivated entry level Assistant IT to join our team. Applicant MUST have experience with PC hardware/software troubleshooting and repair. Applicant should have experience working with computer workstations, Desktops, Laptops, Local area networks, Wi-Fi routers, smart phones and file servers. Must to be able to perform a variety of maintenance and troubleshooting for both hardware and software installations/Upgrades and provide support to staff on all company-supported applications including MS Office and Outlook E-mail. Electronic/Electrical troubleshooting experience is preferred. Knowledge of Nexgen automation systems is desired. Other Duties will include repair and maintenance of studio audio equipment, digital streaming platforms and high power transmitters. Candidate must have flexibility to work days, nights, overnights and weekends as needed without advance notice! Individual will be on call 24/7 as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have GED or High School Diploma
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident card
Associate degree or equivalent applicable work experience
2 years laptop/desktop helpdesk experience
2 years Electronic troubleshooting experience preferred
Experience with audio equipment preferred
A+ Certification preferred
Experience with all Windows OS platforms and MS Office applications
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both written and verbally
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software
Provide computer orientation to new and existing company staff
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
Some travel- to mountain transmitter sites (by snowmobile or ATV) will be required
Individual will be on call 24/7 as needed

SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS: As part of an on-going recruitment campaign for our radio and digital advertising sales team, we are looking for an Account Executive who has the ability and desire to make a lot of calls to businesses, create relationships with current and potential clients and create great on-going advertising campaigns. Candidates must demonstrate dependability, passion, strong communication and problem-solving skills. Business acumen, open-mindedness and a sense of what it takes to win are essential. Previous broadcast/digital sales experience a plus.
JOB SUMMARY: A Townsquare Media Account Executive is the primary contact to existing and prospective customers. You will develop business relationships; sell radio advertising, our digital portfolio of products, event sponsorships and sales promotion packages by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and sell radio advertising, digital products, events and promotional programs to existing clients on your account list.
- Develop additional accounts by consistently cold-calling and creating relationships with new advertising customers
- The majority of your time will be spent on the street meeting, inquiring and crafting advertising programs for your clients, both new and existing.
- Prepares advertising schedules, promotional plans, sales literature, proposals and sales contracts.
- Responsible to accurately project revenues, meet and exceed monthly budgets for all product lines and overachieve annual budgets.
- Enters new customer data and other sales contract details for station clients into computer database.
- Follow accountabilities set forth by your Sales Manager to help guide you to success
- Investigates and resolves client issues.
