Tuesday at about 5 a.m. the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man stating that his wife had just shot herself.

Lake County Sheriff's Public Information Officer, Karen Sargeant said that deputies arrived at the residence on 1st st. in Charlo and determined that the evidence found there was inconsistent with statements given during the 911 call, and the man was placed in custody.

As a result of the investigation, 32 year old Adrian Mcelderry was charged with deliberate homicide in the shooting death of Raelynn Charlo.

Mcelderry is currently being held in the Lake County jail without bond pending his arraignment hearing.
