Bozeman Police Investigating A Shooting – UPDATE – Names Released

On November 19, 2012, the Gallatin County Coroner responded to Warble Lane in Bozeman to a report of an apparent murder/suicide.  The two individuals were identified as 31 year-old Uriah Storm Kimble and 33 year-old Alicia Nicole Smith.

This is the latest from Bozeman Police:

The Bozeman Police Department is investigating an incident that appears to be a homicide / suicide that happened this morning at a residence on the northwest side of Bozeman.  This morning (Nov. 19th)  at approximately 7:07 a.m., Bozeman Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Warbler Way.

The incident was reported by a roommate of a male and female who the roommate had heard fighting in a bedroom in the residence.

The reporting party also advised dispatch that a loud noise, possibly a gunshot had been heard and that neither person in the locked bedroom was responsive.
Responding patrol officers forced entry to the bedroom and located a 32 year old female deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest and a 31 year old male deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives with the Bozeman Police Department are investigating the incident along with the Gallatin County Coroner.

The identities of the male and female are being withheld pending notification of family members.

UPDATE 9:30:  Two people are confirmed dead after a shooting in   on Warbler Way in Bozeman.

Lt. Crawford, with Bozeman Police says a man and woman, in their 20′s to 30′s were involved in a possible homicide/suicide.

There were other people in the house at the time.  Names have not been released.  Police are investigating the scene, and interviewing roomates.

UPDATE:  8:52  According to a nearby neighbor:  This is happening in the housing development behind Costco.  They say the SWAT team, police and corner’s van is there, and they have been told not to leave their house.  This is an un-confirmed report from a neighbor.  We’ll get the official word from police and keep you updated.

Happening Now…Officers and detectives are at a residence in the northwest part of our city investigating a shooting.

There is no public threat to our community members. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
