Mark grew up in Northern Illinois, in a small farm town about 90 miles West of Chicago...Go Bears!! He was raised in a family of police officers. His dad, step dad and uncle were all Cheifs of police. After Highschool, Mark took that same route. He worked for the local police force and was also an E.M.T. on the local volunteer fire department. In 1985 he picked up and moved to denver where he met his wife Barbara. He also started working in broadcasting while in Denver. in 1989 mark and Barbara moved to Billings where Mark took a morning show job at 790 KGHL. In 1991, he was hired to work at 1090 KBOZ radio here in Bozeman. Mark currently does the morning show from 6-10am on Bozeman’s News Talk Leader 1450 KMMS-AM and Mid days on Xl Country 100.7 KXLB-FM. Mark’s wife Barbara is in charge of the Tele-Health clinic at the VA Office at 300 North Wilson. Mark’s daughter Shelby is 13, plays volleyball and goes to school in Belgrade.

What brought up this thought is the press release from Sen Max Baucus saying he kept a Nevada company from "EVER" being able to trademark "The Last Best Place"
