It’s unfortunate we have to resort to unnecessary regulations for our leaders to take pride in their appearance while doing the work of the people of Montana.

Austin Knudsen, speaker elect of the Montana State House of Representatives, was on the phone most of the day Monday December 8, dealing with inquiries from media about a new dress code for state legislators that was announced last week. Knudson says he was surprised at the interest.

Most places I’ve worked, in the past 40 years or so, had some guidelines regarding what was, and was not, acceptable workplace attire.
