Hospitals Across Montana Sound the Alarm, We’re NOT Closing
We are NOT closing. We are NOT closing. Hospitals across Montana are sounding the alarm, reassuring their residents that they are not at risk of shutting down. This, after the campaign backing Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) paid for highly misleading advertisements in local newspapers.
A hospital in the small town of Lewistown, Montana is basically calling out Tester for lying about hospitals being at risk for closure, and says they had nothing to do with the ad that was printed in the Lewistown News-Argus.
Here's part of what Central Montana Medical Center shared on Facebook: "CMMC is NOT closing & did not run or endorse the ad campaign being run currently in our local paper...Our hospital is not at threat of closure. CMMC remains ready to provide vital healthcare services to the communities we serve."
Here's their full Facebook post:
I've also seen similar messages that were also sent out by the hospital in Malta, and by Logan Health in Kalispell.
Can you imagine if you were on the board for the foundations of one of these hospitals? Here you are trying to raise money for important causes- maybe it is a Level 1 trauma center, a neo natal intensive care unit, or a new center to support moms to be...and then all of a sudden the rug gets pulled out from underneath you? Why would folks donate to your hospital foundation if they heard Jon Tester tell them that your hospital is gonna close?
The bottom line is this: Jon Tester is desperate to hold on to power in the 2024 US Senate race. He doesn't care if he hurts your local hospital in the process of trying to cling to power. (By the way, click here to read Sheehy's response to Tester's ads)
This reminds me of the attacks by Tester on Tim Sheehy's Montana firefighting business Bridger Aerospace. As Robby Starbuck pointed out, Tester and his operatives are willing to destroy a Montana business started by veterans, that hires veterans, and helps fight fires if that's what it takes to try and hold on to power.
