Popular Montana Drive-In Theater Opens For 2024

A drive-in theater that opened in 2020 during the pandemic quickly became a popular destination for Montana residents that were looking for something to do while social distancing was required. The idea for the Pasture Drive-In Theater near Churchill, just west of Bozeman was thought up by Porter Blanchard, who was then a senior at Manhattan High School.

The Pasture became so popular that Blanchard and his family decided to keep things going, and this past weekend, the drive-in showed its first movie of 2024. A full summer schedule is expected to be released in the near future.

Sadly, there aren't many drive-in theaters left in Montana, Aside from the Pasture Drive-In, the Silverbow Drive-In in Butte and the Valley View Drive-In in Helena are the only others that remain. The Starlight Drive-In Theater reopened in Bozeman for the summer of 2020, but it was only temporary. Luckily, there's still an option that's not far from Bozeman.

Montana is the perfect backdrop for a drive-in theater. From it's picturesque backdrops to stunning sunsets, it truly can't be beat.
