Montana Radio Guy Gets Epic New Tattoo For Important Cause
A popular radio station in Montana has taken its support of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to the next level.
In February, 100.7 XL Country in Bozeman hosted its annual St. Jude Country Cares Radiothon to raise money for the hospital, which has been dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancer since it opened its doors in 1962.
Montana DJ’s New Tattoo Has An Uplifting Meaning
All of the people at 100.7 XL Country are die-hard supporters of St. Jude, and each year, listeners are invited to become a Partner in Hope to help support the life-saving work that's done at the hospital.

Jesse James hosts the afternoon show on XL Country, and has been a part of nearly 20 St. Jude Country Cares Radiothons. In 2017, he got a tattoo of the St. Jude logo after an anonymous person donated $2,500.
During this year's radiothon, XL Country morning show hosts Derek and Abby brought up the tattoo from 2017, and asked if Jesse would be willing to get another one if someone donated $5,000. Without hesitation, he said yes.
Shortly after, a person known only as "Pixie" donated the $5,000, and Jesse started to think about tattoo designs.
You might think getting a new tattoo is crazy, but for Jesse, it symbolizes his dedication helping kids and finding a cure for childhood cancer. His support for St. Jude is a part of his identity. Plus, the pain of getting a tattoo pales in comparison to a child going through cancer treatments.
On Friday, Jesse got his St. Jude inspired tattoo at The Loyal Sparrow in Belgrade. The tattoo was designed and done by Nina Scott, who co-owns the shop with her husband Jimmy. The Loyal Sparrow has earned a reputation for its incredible tattoos, piercings, and excellent customer service.
We want to thank Nina and the crew at The Loyal Sparrow for their generosity, and for the amazing work. It turned out better than we could have ever imagined.
