Airbnbs or Hotels in Montana, What is The Better Option?
If you are looking to save money during your stay in Montana, depending on where you stay could make a huge difference.
Everyone wants to make sure they have the best time while on vacation, and where you lay your head at night is a crucial part of it. Everyone wants a safe place to unwind after a long day of enjoying wherever you might be.
Over the past few years, there has been a massive increase in people staying at Airbnb or VRBO homes because the pricing seemed cheaper than most hotels. Airbnb and VRBO rentals offered homes with larger spaces, commodities, and quieter places to stay.
Only recently have folks pushed back on using these rentals because the owners of these rentals have started to charge ridiculous fees. Depending on where you are traveling, people have been going back and forth on whether staying at hotels or rentals is the way to go when traveling in Montana.
USA Today released a report on whether booking through these rental sites or booking hotels is the cheaper option. USA Today found out that it all depends on where you are traveling, what time of the year, and how many people are traveling with you.
When you look at Montana in particular, that's the case too. If you are looking to come to Montana to spend a vacation and want fantastic accommodations, you might have to spend some money.
Here in Bozeman, you can find reasonable Airbnb or VRBO rentals for around $150 a night, but if you look at the hotels, brace yourself. Most of the hotels in the Bozeman area are ungodly expensive. You could be paying anywhere between $200 to $500 a night.
In that case, booking a rental is cheaper, but if you check the prices during the winter, the rental prices skyrocket.
The bottom line is whether rentals or hotels are better is up in the air. It depends on where you are visiting, what time of the year, and how many people are with you.
