Excellent Foodie News, A Red Lodge Favorite Now Open Everyday
Montana has developed quite the foodie scene, and one of the most raved about restaurants is tucked in Red Lodge, Montana. During the summer, they expand their hours in a big way - and they're now open seven days a week.
Ox Pasture has become one of the most popular restaurants, and one of the most difficult reservations, in Montana. Getting a table can be challenging for all the right reasons. It's delicious.
From Memorial Day weekend onward through the summer, they are open seven day a week. (Winter hours are Wednesday through Sunday.) How does this sound?
"(food) Highlights include fan-favorite Arancini Catanesi, fried rice balls filled with meat ragù and mozzarella; Gnocchi Verdi con Crema di Pomodoro Giallo, green gnocchi with yellow tomato cream, burrata foam and tomato powder; and Panino Crudo, focaccia with prosciutto, stracciatella cheese, and truffle cream."
Ox Pasture is located in historic downtown Red Lodge, at 7 North Broadway Avenue. Philip Guardione is the founder, who was born in Etna. The atmosphere is cozy, as if you're dinning at friend's (very well designed) home, complete with a wine cellar.
"At Ox Pasture at Piccola Cucina, we’re at the heart of Red Lodge’s artisanal food culture, serving locally raised premium beef alongside vegetables and herbs grown on area farms. We partner with local farmers and ranchers to source the freshest, most regionally appropriate produce."
Now with the expanded summer hours, more diners can enjoy this special restaurant. It's very easy to book a table:
