I'm often tickled by different "lists" and "polls" that come out about life here in Montana.

While I'm not sure if the people who write the articles live here or not, I sometimes wonder where they get their information. From "best" places to live or "best" restaurants to eat, you wonder what data and sources some of these folks use when coming to their conclusion.
I bring this up because I was on TickTok and came across a list of "The Most Boring Towns In Each State". I was curious as to what they had to say about Montana, so I scrolled through the list until I saw the entries for The Treasure State.
Montana is full of small towns and while small towns might come across as "boring", many folks enjoy the small-town lifestyle. Knowing your neighbors and being part of a tight-knit community has its advantages. There's something to be said about living in one of those "boring" places.
As someone who grew up in a small town, as a kid, I remember complaining about how there was never anything to do. As an adult, I've grown to appreciate such places and have come to realize that "big city" living isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Keep in mind, that this list doesn't appear to be data-based, however, the creator of the list took the time to do some sort of research as they made a list for every state in the country. The issue is they don't seem to mention how they came up with their results.
