As we know, there is a big rivalry between the Cats and the Griz on and off the field here in Montana, but according to data, when it comes to the best bang for your buck, one Montana school is ranked among the best in the nation.

Most schools have both in-state and out-of-state tuition. Many out-of-state tuition fees can break the bank and may play a big factor in whether a student attends a particular school.

Which Montana school is the most affordable for out-of-state tuition?

According to the social website Raise Me-Scholarship Guide, Montana State University is one of the most affordable schools for those living outside of the state.

MSU, located in Bozeman has a student population of around 17 thousand. While a large portion of the students are from Montana, many come from different parts of the country and world.

Montana State University offers over 120 majors in science, education, agriculture, and the arts.  However, the school is also famous for its engineering programs.

According to the social site, MSU wasn't the only deal when it came to the best schools for out-of-state tuition. Some other regional schools made the list as well including:

  • Weber State
  • University of Idaho
  • University of North Dakota
