Bobby Hauck Out As Head Coach At Montana
We all know there is no love loss between Cat and Griz fans, but this is truly the end to a legacy.
According to multiple sources throughout the state of Montana, the University of Montana Head Football Coach Bobby Hauck has coached his last game as a Griz. It was announced that Coach Hauck will retire.
Hauck, who is a Montana native has been a fixture of the University for decades. Not only did he participate in track for the Griz, but he would coach them not once, but twice in football. Combining both stints, Hauck was Captain of the ship for 14 seasons and is not only the most winningest coach in Montana's history, but he is also the the winningest coach in the Big Sky Conference.
Who will take over as Montana's Head Football Coach?
So for many Griz fans, the question is, now what? Who will take over? Who will be the person in charge of the University of Montana Football program? Well, the answer came quickly. It was announced that the Wide Receivers Coach, Bobby Kennedy will take over as the Head Coach and replace Hauck.
It should be noted that while Hauck never won a National Championship while at Montana, he did play in several National Championship games. He also took them to the playoffs 13 of his 14 years of coaching and one 21 playoff games.
As a Bobcat fan, I certainly respect what he has done at Montana. I even meet Coach one time, and believe it or not, he was a really nice guy. Plus, if I'm being honest, Brawl of the Wild won't be the same without him on the sideline.

We wish him and his family the very best.
