Montana kids (and their folks!) are invited to a Frozen-themed “Let Them Learn” party and rally at the Capitol this Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. rally to support free, high-quality early childhood education in the state.

Attendees are encouraged to come early to testify in support of Early Edge, Governor Steve Bullock’s initiative to bring the high quality pre-kindergarten option to all Montana 4-year-olds, during the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, which begins at 8:30 a.m. in room 475.

“Montana is one of just eight states without public preschool,” said Niles Hushka, Early Edge board chairman and CEO of KLJ which employees more than 800 people around the state. “Early Edge will generate $7 to $9 for every $1 that we invest. By educating our kids early, we are creating a stronger, smarter economy and a stronger, smarter Montana.”

The “Let Them Learn” event is the brainchild of Early Edge Action, is a citizen-led non-profit supporting early education. It will feature a sled-full of frosty entertainment such as a balloon man and bouncy castle as well as toasty refreshments.
