Xeriscaping 101: The Traditional Lawn May Not Be Best For You
Xeriscaping is the practice of creating functional and beautiful landscaping that requires less water. “Water is an important issue; it’s for fighting over in the West,” says Jane Ruchman, a landscape architect for the Gallatin National Forest.
The Greater Yellowstone Coordinating Committee has released a free xeriscaping guide, co-authored by Ruchman, providing tips on planning, soil preparation, plant selection, mulching, irrigation and maintenance.
Jane Ruchman will join Chris Griffin for a conversation on xeriscaping, Tuesday morning at 7. Submit your question below.
