Drifting snow may be an issue for the Billings area until 6am on Monday morning as they are under a Winter Weather Advisory with closures on I-90 due to high wind.

According to the Naitonal Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MST MONDAY.

  • ROAD CLOSURE - INTERSTATE 90 IS CLOSED FROM PARK CITY TO SPRINGDALE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  • REDUCED VISIBILITY AND TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES DUE TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
  • SOME RURAL ROADS MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE.
  • WINDS - WEST TO SOUTHWEST GUSTING 25 TO 40 MPH.
  • BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW - VISIBILITIES UNDER 3 MILES AT TIMES.
  • DRIFTS OF 3 TO 5 FEET POSSIBLE.
  • A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY CAN BE ISSUED FOR A VARIETY OF WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS LIGHT SNOW, BLOWING SNOW, SLEET, FREEZING RAIN AND EXTREME WIND CHILLS.
