An argument on Tuesday between a husband and wife turned into a stabbing outside Schnees on the corner of Black and E. Main in downtown Bozeman.

Bozeman police arrested Hope Ha Young Kang for allegedly stabbing her husband with a knife. The husband sustained wounds to his upper chest. Kang incurred injuries to her throat and thigh. According to the arrest report, Bozeman Police believe these were self-inflicted.

The couple had been asked to leave a local bar before the incident due to signs of intoxication.

While walking back to their residence, an argument ensued. After arriving home, the husband told police that he decided to take a walk. His wife followed him and the argument continued. The police report states that Kang produced a knife and began to cut herself when the husband called her mom on the phone. As he tried to intervene, Kang stabbed him in the chest, according to police.

Kang was arrested for assault with a weapon. Both were treated at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
