Why Does The Government Waste Money On NASCAR?

I like a lot of Americans like to watch NASCAR on the weekends and spend Friday nights at the Gallatin Speedway, But in a time where the country is absolutely positively broke why does our government spend our tax money on sponsoring NASCAR.

The National Guard sponsors Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr, the military spent $136 million dollars sponsoring Dale Jr ALONE, since 2008. Can you believe that crap.

1 Republican and 1 Democratic congressman have co sponsored a bill to get the military from sponsoring ALL sporting events. If they would, it would save we taxpayers $80 million dollars a year.

Sounds like a great start!
