"The people of Montana love me, and I love them." That's part of what President Trump said on Fox and Friends Thursday morning.

When he voted against the Trump tax cuts, voted to continue the government shutdown, and voted in support of sanctuary cities- Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) took some criticism. But given the way he handled the nomination of Admiral Ronny Jackson, I am now hearing outright anger at Senator Tester.

President Donald Trump took to Fox & Friends early Thursday morning after the news came out that his Secretary of Veterans Affairs nominee, Admiral Ronny Jackson, was withdrawing his name from the process. Shortly after his appearance, I shared audio on our "Montana Talks" radio show- and the phone calls came in at a near nonstop pace all the way through our statewide show which wrapped up at 10AM.

“I watch what Jon Tester, of Montana — a state that I won by, like, over 20 points, you know, really, they love me and I love them. And I want to tell you that Jon Tester, I think this is going to cause him a lot of problems in his state,” Trump told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Thursday morning.

“For Jon Tester to start bringing up stuff like ‘candy man’ and the kind of things he was saying and then say, ‘Well, you know, these are just statements that are made.’ There’s no proof of this. And he has a perfect record,” the president said. “He’s got this beautiful record, unblemished. His son is a wonderful boy, goes to Annapolis at the top of his class, one of the finest cadets, for him to be doing this to this man and this family, I think Jon Tester has to have a big price to pay in Montana.”

The general reaction was this:
