I try and check in on Twitter at least once a day or so. It's actually gotten pretty disappointing to see how little legitimate content is on the Montana politics (#MTPol) hashtag anymore. It's mostly fake accounts and spam from left wing groups.

One day I noticed a bunch of the liberal commentators, and even the ACLU, were complaining that Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) was "blocking" all sorts of dissenters from his official Twitter account.

As expected, that narrative was apparently false. Here's an excerpt from Phil Drakes "Dome Lights" column in The Great Falls Tribune:

It turns out the senator has 38,500 followers and has blocked 12 people.

A Daines staffer sent me copies of some of the blocked tweets and challenged the paper to print them. We won’t, but I will tell you they involved sexual acrobatics for nearly every orifice, were racist and had a very spooky feel to them.
