Bobcats This Weekend

2010 has been a monumental year for the Bobcat Football team. They gained the most total yards in a season by an MSU team. The Cat's points per game, passing yards, and total yards were each top in the Big Sky Conference. They ended the regular season with a 9-2 record. And none of that matters tomorrow at Bobcat Football Stadium.

State Pay Raise On The Way

The federal government handed out a pay freeze. Plenty of Montanans have taken pay cuts or are just plain out of work. And the State of Montana is heading towards a pay increase for state workers in 2012. As you can imagine, plenty are unhappy with it.

Congratulations to Montana State head football coach Rob Ash who yesterday was named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year. In his third year at MSU, Ash led the Cats to a 9-2 regular season record and a spot in the FCS playoffs as the #4 seed

Former Montana State football coach Mike Kramer has been hired as the head coach at Big Sky conference rival Idaho State. The ‘big human’ and his ISU Bengals will appear at the newly renovated Bobcat Football Stadium this fall.

Bobcats Earn #4 Seed In FCS Playoffs

Following their 21-16 win over Montana yesterday in Missoula, the MSU Bobcats have earned the #4 seed in the 2010 FCS Playoffs, and a first-round bye.  The Cats will face the winner of Robert Morris vs. North Dakota State game, at Bobcat Football Stadium in Bozeman on Saturday, December 4th.

Cat/Griz 2010: Go Cats!

The MSU Bobcat football team likely has a post-season playoff spot already locked up.  It doesn't matter. The Montana Grizzlies likely need to win in tomorrow's game to advance to the post season.  That doesn't matter. The forecast for game time is snow.  Nope, doesn't matter. The Bobcats are ranked 8th in the nation in this week's poll, and the Grizzlies are ranked 11th.  That doesn't matter either.

The Downtown Bozeman Association, MSU Alumni Association, MSU Athletics, The Cannery & Burger Bob’s, Bacchus Pub, Chalet Sports, Ted’s Montana Grill, MSU Chamber Relations Committee, Montana State University, The Leaf and Bean and Pepsi Co. are proud to bring you The 2010 MSU/Downtown Cat/Griz Pep Rally, on Thursday, November 18that 6:30pm on Main Street at the intersection with Willson. It's a big Pep Rally in Downtown Bozeman to show our Bobcat Spirit and help the MSU football team get pumped for the big Cat/Griz match-up in Missoula on November 20th. This has become a “cannot miss” community tradition!
