The findings of a Human Rights Bureau investigation into the actions of Sheriff T.J. McDermott were released today, September 3, and indicate that Sheriff McDermott discriminated against his political rival Josh Clark when demoting him to a patrol position after the 2014 election.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Gallatin Gateway man found dead last night. At 10:20pm Thursday night, the Gallatin County 911 Center received a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the Gallatin Gateway area. Deputies responding to the address found a deceased male inside the residence.
