DENVER (AP) — Lawyers for Colorado theater shooting suspect James Holmes have offered to have him plead guilty and serve the rest of his life in prison to avoid the death penalty.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — It's the second day of a hearing in Colorado at which family members of the victims of last summer's movie theater shooting are hearing some gruesome details for the first time.
James Holmes, the former neuroscience graduate student suspected of killing 12 people and wounding dozens more during a July 20 shooting rampage at a movie theater in Aurora, CO, has been formally charged with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder.
